If it's a real family camping tent you're after, you've come to the right place - and by real we mean a long lasting, hard wearing cotton tent, not an overgrown plastic bag!
Cotton is a wonderful material:
- It provides some insulation against the cold and it breathes which allows the heat and condensation to escape - no more waking up at 7am in a sauna.
- It will also last for years - and we do mean years, at least 15-20 years of constant use as opposed to the 10-16 weeks you will get (if you're lucky) from a modern tent.
- It can be repaired.
- A decent quality cotton doesn't need to be re-treated (although setting it up and giving it a good soaking with the garden hose is a good idea prior to going away just to make sure those pesky cotton fibers are awake and working)
- You can always get spare parts because they're so simple.
Cotton family tents are easy to use, easy to transport and easy to store. These are tents that evoke a wonderful feeling when used - and you will want to use them again and again.
